Murray Air Purchased by National Air Cargo

Orchard Park, NY...Global forwarder National Air Cargo is pleased to announce that it has purchased Murray Air, Inc., an air carrier based in Ypsilanti, Mi. Upon culmination of the purchase Chris Alf, President and CEO of National stated, "Murray has an excellent reputation and will become a strategic part of National's worldwide growth. We welcome the Murray employees to the National family and look forward to a great future." Alf also stated that Preston Murray will continue in his capacity as President and COO of the Murray operation.

National Air Cargo is a freight forwarder headquartered in Orchard Park, N.Y. with offices located throughout Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. It is a major supplier of transportation services to the U.S. Military.

Murray Air operates three DC-8 cargo aircraft under an FAA Part 121 Certificate primarily for the automotive industry along with passenger operations under FAA Part 135 Operations Specifications. Murray Air is also a member of the U.S. Military's Civil Reserve Air Fleet (CRAF) program.
